Complimentary education matching service, College Complete (http://collegecomplete.com), is proud to be presenting the sold out Second Annual Justin Lofton Charity Golf Tournament January 6th and 7th to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Imperial Valley (http://www.bgcbrawley.org).

CollegeComplete.com, formed in 2010, was the primary sponsor of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Justin Lofton for a good part of the 2011 season, and recently announced that they would continue their sponsorship of the No. 6 Chevrolet Silverado for the upcoming 2012 season.

Dan Haim, College Complete Co-Founder said, “We are pleased to be able to help the Boys and Girls Club as they help young people with a safe place to go, and learn skills necessary to succeed.”

“I am so excited about this year’s event. We knew it was going to be bigger than last year because we got a lot of support from other teams and drivers with their donations for the auction. It just kept growing from there,” Lofton said.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Imperial Valley, near Lofton’s hometown of Westmoreland, California.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Imperial Valley has a lineup of tested and proven nationally recognized programs that address today’s most pressing youth issues, teaching young people the skills they need to succeed in life.

National programs are available in the areas of education, the environment, health, the arts, careers, alcohol/drug and pregnancy prevention, gang prevention, leadership development and athletics.

Programs overlap and work together so each participant grows and develops self-confidence and self-esteem, along with skills in leadership, teamwork, and responsibility. Self-expression is encouraged and is often the key to engaging members and helping them achieve their potential.

“The Boys & Girls Clubs of Imperial Valley is extremely excited to partner with Justin Lofton for his second annual charity golf tournament. It is great that Justin gives back to his community with such an outstanding event and we are honored to be a part of it.” said Sara Sanders of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Imperial Valley.

adidas Tennis Camps Announces 2010 Summer Camp Schedule Including Nine New Locations

adidas Tennis Camps Announces 2010 Summer Camp Schedule Including Nine New Locations

Fairfield, CT (Vocus) April 15, 2010

One of the summer tennis camps leaders, the adidas Tennis Camps has published their 2010 summer tennis camp schedule. Over 1,000 tennis players attend these camps annually to get better, make friends, and have fun. Overnight and day tennis camps are offered.

The adidas Tennis Camps have a unique balance between instruction and match/point play at their camps, providing campers with the opportunity to learn new skills while also gaining important match experience. University of Wisconsin Head Men’s Tennis Coach Greg Van Emburgh, former professional tennis player and adidas Tennis Camps Director for the UW Madison tennis camp, says “summer tennis camp provides a great opportunity for each player to improve their individual skills in a learning environment that is both fun and challenging.”

Tennis is considered by many to be the “sport of a lifetime.” We try to give our campers an amazing experience with both learning and fun that makes them want to continue to play the sport for years to come. Many coaches appreciate the role that camp plays in the development of individual junior tennis players. The repetition that each person received while at camp really helps to create the proper habits on the tennis court. As adidas Tennis Camps President Charley Biggs stated, “Our goal is to make sure each camper learns the proper technique for all strokes and leaves camp with a greater confidence in their tennis game.” As the adidas Tennis Camps have grown, we have found it necessary to add more sessions at most of our locations to accommodate our families desire to attend multiple weeks.

Interested prospective campers can learn more about the adidas Tennis Camps and view the 2010 tennis camps schedule at http://www.tenniscamper.com.

The adidas Tennis Camps are a division of eCamps, Inc. eCamps is a nationally recognized provider of summer sports camps. Other camps include the GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps, Revolution Field Hockey Camps, and International Squash Academy.

The equipment, which was donated to Boy Scouts of America troop 769, consisted of two camping stoves, a cast-iron griddle, a Dutch oven, tent stakes and a trekking pole.

According to the troop’s assistant scoutmaster, David Breaux, it was a big boost to the group’s future camping plans.

CampGroup Family of Summer Camps Announces New Leadership

CampGroup Family of Summer Camps Announces New Leadership

White Plains, NY (PRWEB) February 26, 2009 -

CampGroup LLC is pleased to announce that Mark Benerofe, of Armonk, NY has been named President. Mr. Benerofe, who has held the position of VP, Business Development and served on the Board of Managers for the past 4 years, will continue the company mission to strengthen and improve summer camps for future generations, namely through CampGroup’s 15 summer overnight camps and day camps in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, New York, New Jersey and Michigan. Dan Zenkel, formerly President, will continue to serve on the Board of Managers.

A former high school teacher and basketball coach in the NYC public schools, Mark Benerofe brings a strong background in education and recreation to the organization as he assumes this full-time leadership position at CampGroup. A Cornell University graduate, he also holds Masters degrees in Education Administration from Baruch College and Anthropology from Hunter College. Mark was an accomplished soccer, basketball and lacrosse player in his youth, as well as a die-hard camper at Camps Chateauguay and Echo Lake.

“We are committed to providing an enriching summer camp experience to each child. Different children have different needs. So, the breadth of CampGroup’s overnight and day camps allows us to offer the right opportunity for every child,” says Mark Benerofe, President of CampGroup.

“CampGroup puts its camps in the unique position of having the resources to weather the current economic downturn. Because it is a financially solid organization, Camp Directors can focus on doing what they do best – running camp – without the stress of worrying about financing, insurance, taxes and a myriad of other back-office functions. That’s a great benefit of CampGroup, the ability to provide resources, financial and otherwise, to allow Camp Directors to spend their time planning for the best possible summer experience,” Mark Benerofe goes on to explain.

CampGroup provides its camps with an array resources including staffing assistance, capital improvements and marketing. Camp directors can take advantage of these resources as they see fit. CampGroup’s camps also benefit from the purchasing power and economies of scale of the group while maintaining their own distinct identities. Camps such as Camp Kippewa for Girls and Camp Cobbossee for Boys on Lake Cobbosseecontee in Maine have been able to forge brother-sister relationships that benefit both camps, and in turn, many camper families. In addition, at the end of each summer, many of the Directors, and much of the staff, come together at Camp Danbee to run America’s Camp, a free one-week camp for children of 9/11 victims.

“CampGroup is first and foremost a family of camps. Camp Directors run each camp independently. Each camp has its own unique identity. They share the ability to learn from each other and benefit from an incredible wealth of knowledge and best practices,” states Andrew Benerofe, Mark’s father and CampGroup CEO and Chairman of the Board.

CampGroup, LLC, the largest owner/operator of for-profit summer camps in the nation, is at the forefront of summer camping. The Company’s fifteen premier camps, which are located in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, New York, New Jersey and Michigan, include Camp Akeela, Black Bear Lake Day Camp, Camp Cobbossee for Boys, Camp Danbee, The Glen at Lake of the Woods, Greenwoods Camp for Boys, The Grove at Lake of the Woods, Camp Kippewa for Girls, Lake of the Woods Camp for Girls, Camp Mah-Kee-Nac, Ramaquois Day Camp, Camp Walt Whitman, Camp Wicosuta, Camp Winadu, and Camp Winaukee. http://www.campgroup.com
